To coincide with the exhibition devoted to Mark Lewis in 2015, le BAL published in 1000 copies the catalog Above and Below, which presented 7 different series from The Pitch (1998) to Above and Below the Minhocao (2014).
Above and Below refers to the title of a work made in Sao Paulo in 2014: Above and Below the Minhocão. The film shows the Minhocão, an elevated highway that crosses the metropolis. Built in 1970, it represented at the time the largest road infrastructure project in South America, running 3.5 kilometers long. Urban sprawl, traffic intensity, air pollution, noise, all factors contributing to make this material outgrowth of modernity not a monument to the glory of modernity, but a symbol of its "fall", underlining the other side of the coin of the aims of progress, speed, flow management and also growth.

The average times indicated do not constitute a strict deadline. LE BAL Books cannot be held responsible in the event of a late delivery.
If all of the books ordered are not in stock at the bookstore and you wish to receive the first part of your order, a delivery in two times is possible.

Pick up
The free pick up of your order at the bookstore is available upon presentation of an identity document. Any order not collected from the shop within one month of payment will be automatically refunded.
Shipping fees
Shipping costs are calculated based on the chosen carrier, the weight and the delivery address of your package. Once your order is in your cart, you can have an estimate of the shipping costs offered by each transport service.
Return
Retraction possible within 7 days from receiving the order. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Returned books must be in perfect condition. The bookstore reserves the right to refuse reimbursement of the books if this shouldn't be the case.
