1991 Books
For this first focus, we have chosen to highlight the work of 1991 Books. For several years, Matteo Verzini and Etienne Vergier have been attached to DIY publishing practices and publish together books in very small runs with the photographers and artists around them.
Frequent contributors, they published with us the book Pan & Scan / Class of 1991 during a live performance at our annual Rolling Paper Book Fair. Their latest publication, A dreamer is still asleep by Kamilya Kuspanova, is available on both our website and at the bookstore.

About
LE BAL Books is the bookstore of LE BAL, a Paris-based exhibition center dedicated to the contemporary image in all its forms. Specialised in photography, the store carries more than 2000 references of artistic works linked to the image and young creation, including self-published, rare books, fanzines and limited editions. LE BAL Books also organizes a yearly program of book signings and events as well as the independent book fair Rolling Paper.
The bookshop of LE BAL and its programming are handled by Ana Gallart (Head of the department) assisted by Antonin Langlinay.
